Job Summary

As a Senior Technical Recruiter on DTE’s Corporate Talent Acquisition team, you’ll own recruiting responsibilities aligned to specific IT, Data Science and Engineering openings across the company. You’ll partner with experienced team members to manage the talent pipeline by identifying top talent and converting prospects into active candidates.

You will serve as a trusted business advisor to our leaders and hiring managers by overseeing all external candidate engagement and driving talent to DTE.  You will be responsible for providing high-value recruitment support to Hiring Managers, championing the DTE brand and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional candidate experience.  

We’re interested in knowledgeable recruiting professionals ready to take ownership for attracting and engaging external technical candidates for DTE. You’ll need to be naturally curious, ready to learn and willing to partner with leaders to understand their story, so we are able to identify and attract the talent needed to help bring our purpose to life. 

Location: Ability to work effectively in hybrid work environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Designs strategic sourcing/recruiting plan to meet corporate needs as identified in workforce plan. 
  • Partner with and actively build collaborative & consultative relationships with Hiring Leaders.
  • Develops networks and knowledge within specialist areas across information technology, and adjacent industries with specific focus on engineering, software developers, cyber security professionals and IT leadership roles.
  • Develops the recruitment strategy and go-to-market plan for specialist roles.
  • Provides timely and effective end-to-end recruitment service to all businesses whilst engaging key stakeholders throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Advises the Hiring Manager on remuneration package details within approved budgets and market rates, extends offer and negotiate terms with candidates.
  • Ensures full compliance and adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures and recruitment policies.
  • Understands the importance of an evergreen talent pipeline maintaining a robust talent database relevant to the business and future needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of local employment requirements such as visas and sponsorship process.
  • Acts as a brand champion to applicants, prospects, and providers throughout the recruitment journey.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in staffing/recruiting.

Other Qualifications

 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of full life cycle recruitment experience (in-house or agency).
  • 3+ years Corporate "in-house" recruitment experience supporting end-to-end process management.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Talent Acquisition Advisor/Consultant to the business (strong preference for IT).
  • Ability to build key relationships and manage senior stakeholders and influence decision makers
  • Previous experience using creative and innovative sourcing techniques to identify talent in candidate short and challenging functions].
  • Demonstrates and delivers best practice recruitment expertise.
  • Excellent networking and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all client groups
  • Solutions focused, team player, organized and efficient.
  • A good working knowledge of sourcing tools such as google x-ray, Boolean search strings, recruitment databases (SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and skilled in making head hunting approaches.
  • Must be flexible with requests and have a "can-do" attitude.
