Job Summary

LOCATION:  CANONSBURG, PA

 

Responsible for all aspects of project management, from concept to the commissioning of new pipeline, including interfacing with engineering, construction, procurement, and commercial staff, and driving safety, quality, and cost and schedule control in project execution.

Key Accountabilities

Performs some of the following at an expert level:

 

  • Guides & ensures the accomplishment of the following core management functions for a given business unit (BU) – or group within that BU: planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, reporting & budgeting. Coordinates the activities of multiple workgroups.
  • Interfaces with customers and commercial team on project schedules and execution; leads all aspects of scheduling and cost control.
  • Manages scheduling and cost control aspects of project engineering and construction for projects including pipelines, compression, gas dehydration and gathering from concept to project commissioning.
  • Develops and maintains project scope summary through project execution process.
  • Provides reporting and accountability to Finance team.
  • Manages scheduling and cost control aspects of environmental permitting, procurement, right of way (ROW), and survey activities.
  • Conducts project risk assessments; develops project risk register for Corporate management.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in  an Engineering discipline, or related field, with 5-10 years of relevant experience, and a minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience.

 

Other Qualifications

Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Ability to travel & report for work at different locations; incumbents are responsible for their own transportation.

  • Motivates through “leading by example,” coaching/mentoring and providing ongoing constructive feedback to Project Management team; competent in systematically eliciting the best efforts & results.

Working Conditions:

The employee generally performs job duties in a climate controlled office environment, with a moderate noise level. However, on an occasional basis the employee may be required to travel to project sites where noise levels and environmental conditions may vary.
