Pinnacle Gas Producers, LLC is a landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility that utilizes landfill gas located at the Waste Management landfill located in Moraine, OH.  The facility has an inlet capacity is 4.5 MMSCFD and utilizes the Krysol process to purify landfill gas into pipeline quality gas.



Job Summary

Location: Moraine Ohio


To safely operate and maintain a landfill gas (LFG) to high btu (natural) gas processing facility in a manner that complies with environmental regulations, optimizes the financial results of the project, and achieves customer satisfaction.  We are looking for highly qualified individuals with a strong background in the following areas –

Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of:

  • Rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, fans, motors, blowers, etc.), flow controls (valves, flow meters), burners (flares, thermal oxidizers), and heat transfer equipment (HVAC, heat exchangers)
  • Instrumentation and Control Systems (HMI, PLC, VFD), Sensors (Temperature, Pressure, Fluid Flow, Level Control), and Analyzers (Gas Chromatograph, Dew Point, Oxygen, 4-Gas Monitors)
  • Reciprocating engine (Waukesha) and reciprocating compressor (Gemini)
  • On and off-road vehicles (scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts, tele-handlers, skid steers, mini-excavators,)
Key Accountabilities
  • Monitor all operating equipment, and adjust (using manual and/or automated controls) as necessary to meet performance and production goals
  • Collect oil, water, wastewater, gas and air samples for analysis
  • Perform equipment inspections, tests and operational checks
  • Diagnose and correct adverse operating conditions and equipment malfunctions
  • Investigate mechanical problems, recommend appropriate repairs, replacements and enhancements
  • Perform mechanical and minor electrical repairs
  • Participate in periodic safety and environmental compliance audits and inspections
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

A high school diploma / GED is required. Completion of a Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Plant Operations, Pipeline Operations, Automation, Instrumentation, Controls, or similar) or equivalent work experience is highly desired.

Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Other Qualifications

· Chemical or Natural gas processing and/or transportation; prior experience collecting and/or converting landfill gas to energy preferred but not required

· Working independently to analyze problems, develop solutions and make or recommend sound alternatives

· Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, management, customers, clients and vendors

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Professional demeanor effectively representing company in various circumstances

· Dedication to safe work practices

· Efficiently handling competing priorities and tasks

· Organization and focus to meet deadlines

· Computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications; PLC Programming a plus  

Additional Information

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold and/or heat. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Most work is within the vicinity of a municipal solid waste disposal facility. Employee will routinely operate forklifts and other motor vehicles.

Employee will be required to respond to call-outs (plant upset conditions) within one hour during other than normal business hours and work unscheduled overtime and may occasionally be required to travel to other work locations using personal transportation (travel expense reimbursed within policy limits).
