Job Summary
DTE Vantage, a subsidiary of DTE Energy Company, is seeking ambitious, energetic, quantitatively adept individuals with an interest in high visibility roles in finance and strategy for its Associate Program, a rotational development program.
A strong candidate possesses a broad range of financial and commercial skills, can manage the details of complex transactions, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment in rapidly evolving markets.
The Program
Associates rotate through two assignments within the DTE Vantage Business Development group, each lasting approximately twelve months. In their assignments, Associates work within multi-disciplinary teams to identify, evaluate, and execute energy-related transactions and strategies. Associates receive training in valuation, problem solving, communication, and industry-specific topics. Following the program, participants will transition into new positions based on their interests and company needs. Typical positions after the program include roles within Finance, Strategy, Business Development and Asset Management.
Key Accountabilities
• Develop detailed financial models and analysis for energy related transactions. Analysis will include cash flow, net present value, income statement and balance sheet analyses
• Provide commercial support on transactions including working with lawyers and bankers
• Develop presentations and present to management on analyses results
• Provide initial analyses of potential projects to determine if it is possible to meet our investment criteria
• Conducts strategic analysis on key business issues and potential market opportunities
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• Must be currently pursuing or possess an MBA or other advanced degree in a related field, from a top-tier school
Other Qualifications
Preferred:
• 3-4 years of progressive work experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to analyze and communicate complex transactions
• The eagerness to understand and analyze complex business and commercial issues
• A high level of integrity, confidence, intellectual curiosity, and initiative taking
• Combination of analytical aptitude and understanding of strategic business issues
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to travel as necessary

Perfroms job duties primarily in a work from home capacity and periodically from a climate-controlled office environment, with a moderate noise level.
