Hybrid Role: This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
Assists in the design and implementation of technology business solutions to align with business objectives. Supports bridging the gap between technical systems and organizational goals, to ensure data platforms are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. Researches and applies data platform technologies to identify optimization opportunities to support data-driven solutions, enhance efficiency, inform high-impact improvements, and align with long-term business objectives.

Key Accountabilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders, including business units and SME teams, to understand business needs and utilizing data platforms for data reporting.
- Supports the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects. Plan, oversee, and manage IT projects, to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting the defined requirements.
- Stays informed with the most recent technological trends and developments, assessing their potential impact and making recommendations for upgrades and solutions.
- Analyzes data to understand business needs and recommends trends to solve problems and improve operations.
- Assists the team with design and implementation of Power App programs for analytical displays, data outlining, and visualizations.
- Researches the industry standards and regulations for incorporation into data platforms for data analysis and reporting.
- Participates in process improvements towards development of tracking tools for metrics or assignments.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics with 1 year of data platform, analytical, or Information Technology experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQL, Databricks, and Power BI.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Experience integrating Smartsheet with other tools, such as exporting to Excel, connecting to Power BI, or utilizing Smartsheet Data Shuttle and DataTable.

Skilled in building Smartsheet automations and workflows, including alerts, approvals, update requests, reminders, row moves/copies, and cross-sheet automations.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, credibly, and confidently.

Knowledge of data analysis, including the ability to effectively summarize data and provide clear, actionable insights in response to common business questions.

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key issues and prioritize solutions from a broad range of alternatives.
