Job Summary

This role provides communications support for DT Midstream working closely with internal, external, and subject matter expert leads to develop and implement a communications strategy that builds positive awareness of the business with key internal and external audiences. 

Specific duties include:
•    Drafting and reviewing of communications materials including employee messages, press releases, collateral materials and ad hoc external messaging
•    Maintaining and developing engaging content for the company’s internal and external audiences that link to the broader communications strategy using all applicable platforms including website, social media, digital communications channels 
•    With communications agency support, serve as the key contact for the media. 
•    Supporting internal and external events including site visits, town halls, investor relations, DTM philanthropic announcements/events, employee engagement, trade shows, and employee engagement activities.
•    Collaborating with coalitions and industry associations related to communications issues.

Key Accountabilities

•    Provide high level strategic communications support, including working closely with business unit senior leaders to support the development and delivery of strategic communications plans.
•    Ensure the strategic communication plan is closely aligned to the business unit's priorities and the company's broader communication strategy.
•    Develop and maintain relationships with key, local, industry and financial media representatives, to establish an ongoing communications path for company issues, development, products and services.
•    Serve as company's media spokesperson requiring crisis communications and issue management skills.
•    Create an annual DT Midstream communication strategy.
•    Ensure consistent application of corporate identity standards across all external and internal
•    communication mediums.
•    Lead efforts to ensure that information is shared and integrated cross functionally within DT Midstream.
•    Manage strategic communications projects to completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
•    Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

•    Bachelor's degree in Communications, Liberal Arts, English, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
•    Eight (8) years of experience managing communication projects and events that enhance the company’s reputation
•    Working knowledge of the natural gas and energy industry

Other Qualifications

•    Communications or Journalism degree 
•    Experience working in an energy industry
•    Excellent writing and interpersonal skills


Other Requirements:  
•    Demonstrated competence in written and oral communications.
•    Demonstrated ability to interact with, counsel, and influence senior executives effectively.
•    Analytical and problems solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
•    Experience with media strategies and tactics; ability to maintain and leverage social media and digital communication channels; and experience in supporting events.
•    Experience in creative writing, video production, web or graphic design and social media.
•    General knowledge of print, video and web design production.
•    Ability to manage Communications agency support efficiently and effectively.
