Hybrid Role: This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
Leads work with business units to develop standards for improving performance and processes. Identifies and solves complex business process problems and performance issues. Analyzes operational data by collecting, monitoring, and studying business trends and best practices. Recommends strategic solutions to improve operational performance. Provides senior level mentoring and support to team of analysts. Span of control: 0; individual contributor.
Key Accountabilities
• Leads research and analysis of business unit operations, including historical and trend data to evaluate future performance requirements and ensure achievement of performance targets.
• Identifies process improvements by analyzing alternative solutions and recommends solutions.
• Conducts benchmarking of industry best practices to analyze business unit strategic goals and make recommendations regarding solutions.
• Serves as lead contact on information technology projects to improve system functionality.
• Acts as a liaison between business unit and leadership on key initiatives and/or business process improvement solutions.
• Oversees special operations and maintenance programs and capital expense projects.
• Ensures resolution of service quality issues and compliance with document requirements.
• Provides senior level guidance to team in performing root cause analyses and resolution of service or commodity discrepancies, vendor delays, and/or service discrepancies.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in fleet, facilities, supply chain or business analytics role
Other Qualifications
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics and/or Finance
• Yellow belt certification
• Experience with Microsoft applications, inclusive of business analytics and project management software
Other Requirements
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs and tables
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to query, analyze and interpret data, draw inferences from the data and present to leadership
• Problem solving skills with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively communicate internally and externally
• Ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization to execute key strategies
