Job Summary

Performs all maintenance functions necessary to maintain all operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment including mobile equipment as required.  Operates equipment in conjunction with repairs and provides assistance in operating functions as necessary to maintain continuity of operations. Works alone with minimal supervision or with other technicians and coordinates/works in conjunction with operating team members in the performance of maintenance tasks.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, with zero to two years of maintenance experience
  • Experience in the mechanical field relating to minor repairs all the way to total major rebuilds on systems and related equipment
  • Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license

  • Displays strong safety experience
  • Ability to start and stop all equipment
  • Leads team through major maintenance activities
  • Assists in developing Gas Handling procedure
  • Schedules PM and ensures necessary parts and supplies are available
  • Uses experience to recommend compressor configurations for operational optimization
  • Completes CAT Engine Training
  • Completes Ariel Mechanic training
  • Recommends improvements for operational efficiency
  • Interacts and provides support to Engineering and Project management on designs
  • Assists and implements Continuous Improvement and recommends changes for operational efficiencies
  • Leads projects and upgrades
  • Works in a team orientated atmosphere
  • Achieves results through people, technology and processing equipment
  • Possesses good knowledge of the assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Ability to function within a matrix organization where employees report to both a functional leader and a business leader
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with both a functional and business leader

  • The employee in this classification will be required to lift objects of up to 50 pounds in weight. Carry objects of up to 35 pounds in weight. Occasionally the employee will have to push or pull objects 70 pounds in weight.
  • Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes and frequently exposed to airborne particles and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to mechanical and electrical hazards. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
