Job Summary

    Entry level position responsible for purchasing materials/equipment tools, rentals and services per the policies and procedures of Supply Chain Management including appropriate terms, conditions and insurance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Purchase materials, tools, rentals, equipment and services using SAP
  • May assure that appropriate documentation is secured to trigger payment for contracted labor and services.
  • Implement contract and PO changes.
  • Negotiate with vendors to expedite the manufacture and delivery of materials.
  • Compile, calculate, and interpret data. Issuing reports using various computer systems.
  • Support business unit partnersÆ work activities and priorities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and filing of source documents,
  • Resolve material and service quality issues.
  • Assess and populate data in Enterprise Business System (EBS).
  • Assure compliance with established policies, procedures and power plant orders.
  • Decision making is limited in discretion and non-routine buys and/or tasks are immediately elevated to a higher level.
  • Understands and supports the SPM processes and goals

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or obtaining degree within nine months from application (verification of degree receipt will be required prior to starting employment).

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Economics

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Basic-to-intermediate skills in Microsoft applications (i.e: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Ability to negotiate
  • Quality Orientation
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement tools, systems and processes (problem identification/root cause analysis)
