Testing Required:
Job Summary
Responsible for leading in the design of planned work and design change packages. Defines procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to perform planned work packages. Develops any work standards to support work packages.
Key Accountabilities
- Completes work package preparation in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Conduct parts requisitioning and ordering.
- Plans, prepares, and revises power plan work packages for Corrective and Preventative Maintenance work.
- Uses procedures, drawings, specifications, and vendor manuals in support of: Plan of the day, forced/planned plant outages and refueling outages.
- Coordinates with other Nuclear Generation departments to resolve concerns with work package planning and preparation.
- Must work shifts as assigned in support of Safety System Outages and Refuel Outages.
- Must participate as a member of the On-call duty team as required in support of plant emergent work outside of normal working hours.
- Assigns cost strings to work packages in accordance with station financial procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, Nuclear or Industrial Engineering and five years’ experience in Nuclear Planning, Nuclear Maintenance, or Operations experience or equivalent industrial experience.
- Or Associate’s degree with seven years in Nuclear Planning, Nuclear Maintenance, or Operations experience or equivalent industrial experience.
- Or High School diploma or equivalent GED and nine years of Nuclear Planning, Nuclear Maintenance, or Operations experience or equivalent industrial experience.
Additional Qualifications
Preferred
Computer software experience with Word, Excel, Maximo, SAP, Documentum, Fermi Maximo
Other Qualifications
- Must be able to pass all phases of In Processing including:
- Background investigation
- Psychological screening,
- Medical certifiable drug and alcohol screen
- Must be able to complete the planner Qualification Card
- Must be cognizant of all plant safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple work activities which will include urgent time critical tasks of varying priority.
