What happens if you are selected for the position?

  • In response to the financial challenge, the company has suspended promotional pay for this posting until further notice. Once the financial challenge is met, we will review pay against the pay range taking into consideration factors such as internal equity, prior work experience, etc. Any pay adjustments at that time will not be retroactive. Federal, State and Local taxes are not taken into consideration when evaluating a potential offer.

How to manage the transition to your new role?

  • You work with your current and new leader to determine a start date in your new position. Typically, this transition occurs in 2-3 pay cycles, but longer transition times can occur due to current business unit needs.

Job Summary

Responsible for department and/or site-wide performance indicators. Analyzes, recommends, maintains, and monitors performance indicators to assure the indicators and targets continue to drive overall plant performance. Supports coordinating programs that support equipment reliability by overseeing Maintenance Rule and Preventative Maintenance processes, ensuring adherence and leading cross functional meetings.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist the Department Manager in identifying gaps and using Corrective Action Program, Action Tracking, Self-Assessment, Benchmarking, Continuous Learning Report, and Excellence Plans to document and close the Engineering Performance gaps.
  • Perform Trend analysis and Monitoring; assists in the creation of productive performance indicators.
  • Holds responsibility for the observation program and performance of quality reviews.
  • Communicate and Trend Site Event Free Day (EFD) Resets, Department EFD Resets and Crew Learning Opportunities to the Engineering Department and Station.
  • Provide oversight of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program to ensure adherence to program processes, reviews PM Program overall effectiveness, owns PM Database Software, Co-Chairs PM Oversight Committee and oversees/provides guidance for PM Changes/deferrals. 
  • Responsible for Maintenance Rule Program monitoring scope which includes evaluating equipment functional failures against maintenance preventative criteria.
  • Development, maintenance, and implementation of the Maintenance Rule Program Description, Conduct Manual Chapters, and Program documentation necessary to meet the requirements of 10CFR50.65.
  • Responsible for reviewing the Maintenance Rule Cause Determinations and ensuring the determinations performed are consistent with Maintenance Rule Program Requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring System Performance Data within the scope of the Maintenance Rule.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or a related field and five years of nuclear power plant experience 
  • OR Associates degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or a related field and seven years of nuclear power plant experience

Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Experience within nuclear Operations, Maintenance or Engineering

 

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain a position on the Fermi Emergency Response Organization (ERO) in support of the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP)
  • Other: Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, including creating complex formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Additionally, must demonstrate strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills consistent with the ability to analyze and interpret data, draw inferences from the data and present them to site leadership.
  • Problem solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
  • Ability to manage projects and effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.
