Job Summary
    Supervises and leads a team of professional personnel to perform specific assignments which support the Fermi 2 License. Develops, implements and manages Nuclear Quality Assurance goals, measures, targets and budgets. Promotes team concepts to problem solving through evaluation, training, coaching, pay administration and consistent application of policy and procedures. Maintains the Fermi 2 "Approved Suppliers List". Communicates clearly to the Manager, Nuclear Quality Assurance and plant management on the performance of various Fermi 2 organizations.
Key Accountabilities
  • Accurately assesses and communicates through audits, inspections / examinations, surveillances and corrective action documents the performance of Nuclear Generation.
  • Coordinates trending of Nuclear Quality Assurance activities.
  • Develops and implements Nuclear Quality Assurance Business Plan goals.
  • Ensures support and maintenance of Quality Assurance programs for Nuclear Generation.
  • Maintains the Fermi 2 "Approved Suppliers List" for safety related procurements.
  • Represents the company effectively in daily contacts with regulators, internal / external customers, contractors and vendors.
  • Responsible for Nuclear Quality Assurance budget activities.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or SRO license/certification plus four years commercial Nuclear power plant experience, or completion of an Associate's degree plus six years commercial Nuclear power plant experience, or High School Graduate plus ten years commercial Nuclear power plant experience.
Other Qualifications


  • Prior commercial Nuclear power plant line organization experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or support


Other Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain a position on the Fermi Emergency Response Organization ERO in support of the Radiological Emergency Response Plan RERP.
  • Must be able to pass all phases of InProcessing including a background investigation, psychological screening, orientation, appropriate radiation worker and respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
  • Provides feedback and coaching, rewards hard work and risk taking, takes mentoring role, challenges and develops employees, accepts mistakes, provides visibility/opportunity.
  • Creates accurate and realistic budgets, tracks and adjusts budgets, contributes to budget planning, communicates budgetary priorities.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others and has good listening skills.
  • Knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B and associated standards, the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report UFSAR and Technical Specifications.
