Job Summary
    Oversee and support the safe and efficient operation of Reactor Services activities, including all equipment and systems. Responsible for coordinating and directing refuel floor activities, dry cask storage campaigns and ensuring all preventive maintenance of Reactor Services equipment is completed. Monitor work progression, identify problems and report on reactor service activities to leadership.
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and oversee the logistics for all scheduled reactor services work including work activities performed during refueling outages and dry cask storage campaigns
  • Verify work is scheduled and planned with proper resources and sequencing through the T-week process
  • Oversee and direct the work of supplemental personnel performing work for Reactor Services during refueling outages and dry cask campaigns including verifying that supplemental personnel are performing work in accordance with station procedures and standards.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and direct work as necessary to ensure all reactor services equipment is maintained and operational.
  • Assist with performing fuel moves in the spent fuel pool and operating equipment and tools on the refuel floor, including operating dry cask storage equipment as necessary to support reactor service work.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 years' experience working in a nuclear power plant within Maintenance, Operations, or Work Management with duties related to refuel floor activities
Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Associates Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology or other mechanical or electrical engineering technology degree
  • Previous experience with nuclear fuel movement or dry cask storage projects and knowledgeable of the alarms and interlocks associated with the refueling platform

  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within and outside the company.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Meet regulatory requirements per Fermi Procedures and Processes
  • Participate as an Emergency Response Organization ERO member and respond to call-ins as appropriate.
  • Pass all phases of InProcessing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
