Job Summary

    Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Information and Procedures staff, including timekeeping, performance evaluations, pay increases, and staffing. Responsible for the nuclear records management system, including document control and records management, in accordance with regulatory and Corporate requirements. Establish and maintain procedures management for site, in accordance with regulatory requirements. Operate and maintain control of information centers, and development, editing and issuing of management reports and presentations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervises Information and Procedures department staff, both functionally and administratively. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating work performance, providing developmental activities for employees, taking corrective action as necessary, communicating department goals, strategies or objectives, securing employee's understanding of tasks and goals, administering timekeeping practices and making staffing changes as necessary.
  • Responsible for the site programmatic controls related to review and approval of procedures and procedure temporary change notices in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for site programmatic controls for Records and Document Control to implement 10CFR50 Appendix B requirements. This includes retrieval, distribution, indexing and archiving documents and records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Create and assist in development of electronic records management, process to create, use, preserve and dispose of electronic records.
  • Responsible for site senior management reports, promotional graphics and presentation generation.
  • Develops departmental business strategies, goals, measures and targets.
  • Ensures changes to computer programs under responsibility are accurate and consistent, that self-assessments, verification and audits are preformed. Manages testing of programs as revisions are made to existing programs or new programs are created. Ensures training is developed and performed for site personnel on new or revised Information and Procedure programs. Responds to management requests and performs special assignments.
  • Monitors business operational functionality of area including contract administration, payroll activity, facility/resource management for area, and oversee materials procurement and inventory control for area.
  • Acts as Information Protection Coordinator for Fermi 2 site. Responsible for development and implementation of an information protection strategy for Fermi 2 that is in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Maintains awareness of industry performance issues through research, self-assessment, and benchmarking, Incorporates lessons learned.
  • Approves Information and Procedures staff selections. Ensures job descriptions are produced for respective area. Ensures selection processes are performed within corporate guidelines and makes final selection decisions. Approves recommended staffing schemes to maximize the education, experience and group dynamics of the department.
  • Presents proposals to site review boards to obtain resolution and approval.
  • Functions as site intranet owner. Coordinates Fermi 2 intranet, assists departments with conception and development of web pages, etc.
  • Acts as Copy Machine Coordinator for Fermi 2 site. Coordinates installation and removal of equipment, manages service complaints, and negotiates solution with vendors.
  • Enforces safe work and ALARA practices. Ensures training is performed in safety and environmental standards. Assures monthly safety and staff meetings are conducted for employees.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Seven years experience in Nuclear records and/or procedures fields

Other Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree in business
  • Knowledge of computer disaster recovery for respective systems, computer operations, networking, systems testing and enduser service/support
  • Knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, ANSI 45.2.91974, Reg Guide 1.33, Reg Guide 1.88, NFPA232, ANSI N71976, Reg Guide 1.88, NFR232, and ANSI/ANS 3.3198Knowledge of ARMS, WebARMS and/or POMI and PARIS applications
