Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

    Develops and oversees a BU transaction processing group to ensure accurate and efficient purchase order processing (P2P). Maintains and ensures high quality contract writing. Performs or guides & ensures the accomplishment of the following core management functions for a given BU (or group within that BU): planning, organizing, directing, staffing / employee selection & performance management, coordinating, reporting & budgeting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain business unit transaction processing group; sets standards for accuracy and efficiency based on third-party benchmark; drives continuous improvement to achieve benchmark performance.
  • Manages performance of professional-level staff to ensure timely and accurate processing, and maintenance of system data (ie establishing contracts and suppliers, P2P activities.)
  • Coordinates with various departments (legal, audit, AP, Contract Administration) as required to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and to ensure effective work flow for process hand-offs.
  • Manage vendor relationships (supported by Buyers) to ensure effective contract management and prompt vendor payments

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement or related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership

Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Economics
  • Master's degree.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and procuretopay (P2P)
  • Experience utilizing lean operating tools/Six Sigma
  • 5+ years experience in Nuclear Procurement Supervision or Nuclear Warehouse Supervision.
