Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

    Responsible for ensuring the implementation of analytical, process, and systems support for work unit. Works independently and identifies appropriate course of action to analyze issues, recommend solutions, and administer budget. Manages or coordinates various administrative programs. Maintains oversight of procedures and regulations. Span of control: 0; individual contributor role, however, provides work direction to represented and non-represented personnel.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides work direction for a team of represented personnel responsible for field construction, maintenance, customer-driven and code compliance work.
  • Performs the duties of the supervisor in their absence.
  • Responsible for ensuring that construction work is planned in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Utilizes experience-based knowledge to provide technical expertise to field staff.
  • Assists in the analysis of workload, performance/team management.
  • Responsible for Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and other policy/procedure administration.
  • Assists with budget administration.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Assists with on-site monitoring of construction contractor crews.
  • Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime as needed and may have on-call responsibilities.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • This is a multitrack based requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following options:
    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and four years of field experience in natural gas distribution, field service, transmission and storage, or field support groups
    • Associate's Degree and two years of field experience in natural gas distribution, field service, transmission and storage, or field support groups
    • Bachelor's Degree

Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Service Suite, Maximo/Rave and SAP

 

Other Requirements

  • A valid Michigan driver's license and meet company and DOT driving standards
  • Pass initial DOT drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
  • Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
  • Work planning and coordinating experience PC skills, including Microsoft Office
